Sound mixer and sound designer with passion and experience:
Since 1999, I have been working as a sound mixer and sound designer
for film, dubbing, television, radio, and audiobook productions.
With over two decades of experience, I bring
technical expertise and creative sensitivity to every project.
A Childhood in Tune with the World
My journey into the world of sound began early – quite literally. With my mother, a theatre scholar and philosopher, I lived for a while among the Hopi Indians in a traditional Hogan in Arizona. I traveled through Morocco, spent a year near Kathmandu in Nepal, where I had close contact with a Buddhist monastery, and later lived in Pokhara by the lake.
I then spent five formative years on La Gomera, Canary Islands, where my father is still known as a musician. A few more adventures took me to other countries as well. These years were not only geographically moving – they deeply shaped my acoustic perception.
My love for listening – beyond the speakers
Very early on, I developed a special sensitivity for sounds and sonic environments – the soundtrack of my surroundings.
Sounds like the shimmer of heat on black asphalt, wind whispering through reeds, rain hitting tin roofs, or the powerful roar of waves bring back vivid memories and emotions.
Other sounds, however, can irritate me – like when the same door creak is used in nearly every TV series. There are countless other options in sound libraries – even in the standard ones!
From the dancefloor to the studio
At the age of 14, I attended my first underground techno party, while also listening and dancing to hip-hop.
Once I came of age, I took to the decks myself, DJing from Munich to Berlin and La Gomera, while organizing my own electronic underground events.
Alongside my studies in audio engineering at SAE Munich, I worked as a live mixer at concerts around the city, and also as a technician for the “Underground Project”, where I was resident DJ and booking coordinator.
My path through the world of good sound
Starting in 2000, I gained initial experience in feature film as a sound designer, editor and restorer of production sound – soon followed by mixing.
These were the first steps in a professional audio career that I continue with passion to this day.
Over time, many new fields joined in: trailer campaigns, commercials, audiobooks, interactive projects and sound installations for events.
I’ve also worked across all stages of dubbing. Documentaries and TV shows have accompanied my journey, as has precise quality control – more recently including immersive audio.
Latin Music & House Beats – Family Productions
In my mid-20s, I produced the compilation “Sound of Sausalitos” together with my father, which led us to create Latin-House tracks tailored to my DJ mix on that very album.
In Havana, Cuba, I contributed my technical skills to the production of one of my father’s Latin music albums at the ICAIC studios.
It was also there that I witnessed – for the second time in my life – how an authentic techno scene emerged from the underground.
Working beyond borders
In 2022 and 2023, I ran a remote studio on La Gomera as a second base, supporting German production companies from abroad.
That’s how the concept of my fully online studio was born.
